HOW TO:
FIND THE RIGHT SWIMSUIT FOR YOUR BODY
1) Time to shop
2) Patience
3) Eye for your own natural beauty :)
4) Spray tan (Hello toned body! No one wants wrinkles from sitting out in the sun – boo!)
No, it's not an oxymoron; you really can find the perfect swimsuit to flatter your shape if you just recognize a few key things. Know your body type! Your body shape––or where you naturally distribute weight––determines what swimsuit looks best on you.
One-Piece or Two-Piece Swimsuit?
Do not reveal ALL. Just show what works best for you and keep the rest interesting. One-piece suits tend to show more back and less tummy (It also hides your waist), whilst, others show a tad more cleavage or high thigh. One-piece swimsuits can be very sexy, especially when you choose lovely colors, plunging necklines, halter necks and beautiful fit. If your bottom is bigger than your top, separates are the best choice. Tip: Steer clear away from boy shorts as they make your hips appear wider. Major no no!

Tip: show off your best assets and conceal the others. Always remember that you are aiming for a balanced silhouette.
Swimsuit for Swimming
If you're into swimming (superb way of getting exercise), definitely get a one-piece. Find one that doesn't cut into the shoulders, has comfortable, stretchy fabric and doesn't creep up the backside. Forget those string bikinis. You wouldn’t want anything to come undone while you're doing laps or snorkeling off a crowded beach – right? Bad attention and mortifying!
Small on Top
If you're small on top, you may want to try the newest, little swimsuits from Brazil OR the nearest Victoria’s Secret. Look for tops with an adjustable strap and padding, or an under wire, demi-bra style that makes the most of a dainty, bust line. Ruffled, fringed, frills and bandeau tops are so hot right now and that style is best for your body type as it exaggerates he appearance of a fuller chest. Lucky you - Pump up the volume or create an optical illusion!

Big on Top
Support is your best friend. Hello, underwire tops that hold everything in place. Halter-top offers plenty of support, while providing some cleavage too. When you are out and about, look for styles that are banded around the midriff and can be tied in back and around the neck as well as wide shoulder straps. Lift + adjustments = perfect, personal fit.
Short Legs or Torso
Show off those thighs! Play up your figure by finding a suit that is cut high on the thigh. This will make your leg look much longer. If you have curvy hips, that is A-OKAY! This cut will accentuate your smaller waist and give you a flirtatious look. Tip: Wear a solid bottom with a printed top to draw the eye upward and give you a longer look.

Long Body Shape
Clothing always drapes so beautifully on your body type. The only issue is, you do not want to look like a bean-pole in a swim suit.
You can go wild with the embellishments at the hips and bust line. Rings, jewels, ties and bows are all flattering things for you. Try horizontal stripes and stretchy fabrics like terry. Cut-out suits are going to look best on you as it can break up a long torso and are extremely fashion forward.

No Waist + Bigger Tummy
No problem, ladies. One-piece suits with a cinched in waist create a foxy hourglass shape that distracts from other, unflattering areas. A belted waistline on a one-piece suit will give the appearance of a whittle middle. If you are self-conscious about your tummy try fabulous tummy control panel, empire waist or black color block swimsuits as they really work wonders.
Tip: Tankini suits are great because no one will guess that you have a pooch under there. Make sure the top isn’t too tight and is long enough to cover your muffin top.
Wide shoulders
Miss model, you're strong, confident and statuesque.
Balance is the key word here. You will want to play up the bottom of your torso and minimize the top. Wear bikini bottoms that have lots of color and print and also sport accents at the hips such as ties, belts and sashes. Also, wide shoulder straps and square necklines can make you look fabulous.
Big on Bottom
Have you heard of mini skirted bikinis? Very chic and Jacki-O like! Pick a smooth, skimming skirt that is short and sweet, but covers what it needs to. A ruffled or highly decorated top is OK though. The details will draw attention to your top half. Bottoms with rings are cute but most importantly they keep your suit from riding up and exposing that extra junk in your trunk. Tip: Try a plunging neckline. Why? This look will draw attention to your top half and help balance your figure.
Remember, dark colors have a slimming effect and minimize the look of hips and butt. Also, put on that sarong. They are versatile enough to use as a cover up for just your bottom or as a dress for more coverage.
Don't follow fashion trends if they don't flatter your body type. This year's swimsuit fad isn't a determining factor when choosing a swimsuit––your body type and comfort is.

Avoid the stuff that makes you puff. This includes but is not limited to caffeine, alcohol, salt and dairy. Please do not kick back at the pool with a soda or a 2,000-calorie ice cream cone. Stay hydrated and nourished with coconut water and fresh fruit +veggies.
Enjoy the sun, surf and be proud of your beautiful body!
